Tool to play New Hampshire

Prog-metal veterans Tool have revealed plans for a summer tour that will include a stop in New England. The band will perform at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire on Sunday, August 2. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $39.50 and $52.50, go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.

The band, who have been on a mini-hiatus of sorts since their 2006-2007 world tour following the group’s most recent studio album, 10,000 Days, will perform several festival dates this summer including Chicago’s Lollapalooza and New York’s All Points West.

Frontman Maynard James Keenan was in town this week for a wine bottle signing at the Whole Foods Marketing in Cambridge. The singer/winemaker was promoting his Arizona-based Stronghold Vineyards.
