Sir Tom Jones has cancelled a pair of Massachusetts shows scheduled for this weekend. The legendary singer was scheduled to perform at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Saturday and at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis on Sunday. However, both shows have cancelled due to illness. The same goes for his show at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut on Friday. Ticket refunds for all shows may be obtained at the point of purchase.

The Massachusetts cancellations come just after Jones cancelled his sold-out show at the Beacon Theatre in New York on Tuesday night and a pair of shows in Canada last week. According to a message on the singer’s official website, "He is suffering from vocal chord stress related to the residual effects of a bout of severe viral bronchitis".& Jones was ordered to undergo a complete vocal rest to avoid the possibility of any further damage to the chords by his specialist doctor in New York.
