Growing up from teen-pop royalty Taylor Hanson’s new power-pop supergroup Tinted Windows will play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club Monday, August 3. Hanson fronts the four-member ensemble, which is rounded out by guitarist James Iha of the original Smashing Pumpkins, bassist Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and drummer Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick. Tickets for the 18+ show are $20 and go on sale Friday at noon through Live Nation.

Tinted Windows will be touring for the first time& in support of their self-titled debut album, which was released in April. The album has been powered by singles “Kind Of A Girl" and “Messing With My Head”. The unlikely supergroup formed out of Hanson and Schlesinger’s longtime friendship. "Taylor and I had always talked about trying to do something together," explained Schlesinger in a press release, "maybe write some songs, or play some shows – something." Iha soon followed by when the band began discussing possible drummers to round out the group, they thought, "Who do we know that can play drums like Bun E. Carlos?". After listening to a few demos Carlos was on board and Tinted Windows was complete.
