They Might Be Giants will throw a big party for all-ages on December 31 as the Massachusetts-bred band rings in the New Year with a pair of shows at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton. The band will play a children’s matinee show at 3 p.m. with a set comprised of tunes off their collection recent children’s albums. Tickets are now on sale for $20 each or families can grab a 4-pack for $60. Then, later that night, They Might Be Giants will play a proper rock show for ages 14+. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve show, which will feature opener Peter Stampfel, are now on sale for $32.50.

In September, They Might Be Giants released a new CD/DVD Here Comes Science. The release is the band’s fourth children’s album, following 2005’s Here Come The ABCs, 2008’s Here Come The 123s and 2002’s No!. The band is currently working on their next rock album and followup to 2007’s The Else.
