Rob Zombie plans return of Hellbilly

Rob Zombie will return to the road this fall under the “Hellbilly” moniker to support his forthcoming album. The Haverhill native will rock a homecoming show at the House of Blues on Wednesday, December 2. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $35 and $45, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Nekromantix will open the show.

Zombie’s new album Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool is due to hit store shelves on November 10. The album follows 2006’s Educated Horses and comes 11 years after his debut solo album, Hellbilly Deluxe: 13 Tales of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside the Spookshow International.

This will be Zombie’s first headline tour since 2007. Most recently, Zombie has been in the spotlight for his film work. He has written and directed five feature length films including2007’s Halloween 2. Zombie’s animated feature, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 22.

“I am bouncing off the walls like a mental patient”, Zombie said in a press release, “that tells me it’s time to take it to the stage and let the demons loose.”

Zombie will be accompanied by his longtime bandmates guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D and drummer Tommy Clufetos.
