Nickleback have announced plans to extend their Dark Horse World Tour into the fall. The band will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Friday, September 24. Opening up for the band will be Three Days Grace and Buckcherry. Tickets, which range in price from $32.50 to $99.50 with a 4-pack of tickets available at the special price of $99, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

It’s been quite a year for Billboard’s “Group of the Decade” who started off 2010 by performing at the Closing Ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Their Dark Horse World Tour has been a smashing success with all previous legs having been completely sold out. The band’s most recent album, and namesake for the tour, Dark Horse, has remained on the Billboard Top 200, not leaving the Top 100, for a consecutive 84 weeks.

“Our fans have been amazing all over the world from Japan to New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, the UK and North America,” said lead singer Chad Kroeger in a press release. “Our fans keep us going and we are excited to play 25 more dates in the US with Three Days Grace and Buckcherry.”

In other news, the band has just released more downloadable content for the popular Rock Band video game series. The “Nickleback Pack 01” features a number of some of the bands more recognizable hits that can be played on the Xbox 360, Play Station 3 and Wii platforms.
