The Donnas to play the ‘dise

The Donnas, the all-female rock band from California, will hit the East Coast this spring for a quick run of four shows in four days. The band will play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, March 25. Tickets for the 18+ show are now on sale for $15 through Ticketmaster.
The band are currently working on new material for a followup to their last studio album, 2007’s Bitchin’. Last summer, the band released Greatest Hits, Vol 16, on their own Purple Feather Records.
Original drummer Torry Castellano continues to recover from tendinitis of the shoulder and due to doctors’ orders cannot join the band. Amy Cesari (of the band The Demonics) is expected to continue fill in for Castellano on the upcoming tour dates.
Most recently, The Donnas joined several other bands in supporting a new charity called TargetCancer. The charity was founded by Paul Poth in 2009 to raise awareness, and fund research for rare and lesser known cancers, which lack specific treatment protocols. The Donnas have offered up a previously unreleased track called “Can’t Keep It A Secret” as a special track for download through TargetCancer’s The Right Track: Tunes to TargetCancer program.
