Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are finally coming to Boston for a proper headlining show. The soul and gospel favorites from New York will hit the hit on Thursday, May 27 for a show at the House of Blues. Tickets, which range in price from $20 to $30, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

The band is hitting the road to support their forthcoming album, I Learned the Hard Way, which is scheduled to hit store shelves on April 6. The album, their fourth studio effort, was produced by Bosco Mann and recorded in its entirety on an old Ampex eight-track tape machine by Gabriel Roth. It also serves as the followup to 2007’s 100 Days, 100 Nights.

Last year, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings appeared on Michael Buble’s new album, Crazy Love, for the track “Baby (You’ve Got What It Takes)”. More recently, the band covered Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” for the soundtrack and the opening credits of the Oscar-nominated film, “Up in the Air”.
