Green Day, Dave Matthews Band and Lady Gaga have been to the roster of performers for the upcoming 52 annual Grammy Awards ceremony. Pink and the Zac Brown Band have also been tapped to join previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum and Maxwell. CBS will air the show live from the Staples Center on Sunday, January 31.

The new slate of performers have all been nominated in at least one category. Beyoncé and Swift will face off against one another with a combined eighteen nominations, including the top three categories of Album, Record and Song of the Year, as well as Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.  Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

In related news, the Recording Academy’s Grammy Recordings has partnered with EMI Music to release the 2010 Grammy Nominees album. The 16th edition of the best-selling series highlights artists and songs nominated for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. The 20-song collection represents a diverse range of artists including U2, Sugarland, Kings of Leon, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay and The Fray. The compilation is set to hit stores on January 19 and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit the MusiCares Foundation and the Grammy Foundation, two charitable organizations established by The Recording Academy.
