Lady Antebellum lead the pack with the most nominations for the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 18 in Las Vegas. The trio earned seven nominations, including Album of the Year and Top Vocal Group.

Carrie Underwood, the reigning Entertainer of the Year, followed with six nominations, as did Miranda Lambert. Taylor Swift is nominated for five awards, while Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and the Zac Brown Band earned four nominations (Brown also earned an additional two individual nominations). Under ACM rules, artists can receive multiple nominations in certain categories if they wrote the song or produced the recording.

Despite being released in 2008, Lady Antebellum’s 2008 self-titled debut album was nominated for Album of the Year alongside The Foundation from the  Zac Brown Band, which was also released in 2008. They’ll face off against a trio of 2009 releases: Paisley’s American Saturday Night, Underwood’s Play On, Lambert’s Revolution

Chesney will look to regain his Entertainer of the Year award from Underwood, who will also face competition from a field that has been expanded to include eight nominations. Swift, Paisley, Toby Keith, George Strait, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band were also nominated for the Academy’s most prestigious honor. For the third year, fans will select the winner of the Entertainer of the Year and for the second year, the three newcomer categories for the annual Academy of Country Music Awards —Top New Solo Vocalist, Top New Vocal Group and Top New Vocal Duo — will also be opened up to fan voting. The winner in each Top New category will then move on to compete for Top New Artist which is also a fan voted category. Online voting for all fan voted categories will be available at www.voteACM.com.

Also, in its ninth year, the Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award will be given to Montgomery Gentry for their ongoing community service and charitable giving of their time and talent. The award recognizes country music artists who serve others, have a generous spirit and help build the dreams of those in need.

The complete list of nominees is available below.

Country super stars Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton read the nominations live this morning during CBS’ The Early Show broadcast from New York City earlier this week. McEntire will return for an unprecedented 12th time to host this year’s show, which will air live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m.

In related news, the ACM’s nominated the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire as the Venue of the Year.
