Eagles team up with Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks for Gillette Stadium
In what is sure to be on the summer’s biggest blockbuster shows, classic rock icons the Eagles will team up with country favorites Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks for a brief stadium tour in June. They’ll stop in Massachusetts on Saturday, June 12 for a performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $55 to $215, go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
The Eagles, with a lineup featuring Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, are expected to perform plenty of hits from their more than 35-year career. The band’s last studio album was the country flavored Long Road out of Eden. Released in October of 2007, it was their first studio album since 1979′s The Long Run and has been certified 7× platinum.
Urban continues to tour in support of last year’s Defying Gravity. The album, his fifth studio effort, has produced 4 hit single and reached #1 on the Billboard 200.
The Dixie Chicks, comprised of Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and Natalie Maines, will hit the stage for the first time in four years, performing songs from all three of their albums. They are the biggest-selling female group in history, having sold more than 30 million albums. Maguire and Robison, who are sisters, will release a new album as a side project called Court Yard Hounds in May.
