Dashboard Confessional to hit the House of Blues

Dashboard Confessional, who postponed their tour plans in December, have revealed plans for returning to the road. Chris Carrabba and company will hit Boston’s House of Blues on Thursday, April 8. Tickets, which are priced at $23.75 and $33.75, go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

The band is touring in support of the their sixth studio album, After the Ending. Produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Fall Out Boy) and co-produced by Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), the new album follows 2006’s Dusk and Summer. Chris Carrabba, the band’s frontman and mastermind, released The Shade of Poison Trees album in 2007 under the band’s name.

Dashboard Confessional will also perform at Lupos Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island on Monday, March 22. Tickets for that show range in price from $25 to $32.50 and will go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. though etix.com.

The band was originally scheduled to play the Tsongas Arena in Lowell last December with New Found Glory but was forced to cancel the tour due to a family issue with one of the band members. Instead, Carrabba quickly mounted an acoustic tour with guitarist John Lefle that hit the Middle East Downstairs in December.
