Chicago and the Doobie Brothers team up for summer tour

Chicago and The Doobie Brothers have announced plans for a co-headlining tour this summer. The two 70’s pop-rock favorites, who previously toured together in 208, will hit Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Tuesday, July 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $42.50 to $79, are now on sale through Live Nations. Fans can also purchase a 4-pack of tickets for $48.75 each.

Like their tour in 2008, fans can expect both bands to play individual sets before teaming up for a set together to close out the show.

Chicago’s most recent release was 2008’s Chicago XXXII: Stone of Sisyphus. Produced by Peter Wold of the J. Geils Band, the album was finally released after a 15-year delay as Warner Bros. Records refused to release it in 1994.

The Doobie Brothers are reportedly working on their first studio album in a decade and followup to 2000’s Sibling Rivalry.
