Yonder Mountain String Band have revealed plans for a fall tour that will bring them to Massachusetts in November. The Colorado-based progressive bluegrass veterans will hit Boston for a night at the House of Blues on Friday, November 1. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The upcoming tour will coincide with the band’s own “Harvest Fest”, which will take place for the fourth year at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas from October 17 to 19. This year’s lineup includes the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang, Railroad Earth, Beats Antique, JJ Grey & MOFRO, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Townes Earle and more.

Yonder Mountain String Band is reportedly working on their first studio album since 2009’s The Show. In an interview with JamBase earlier this year, bassist Ben Kaufmann revealed the band planned on continuing to record new material in Chicago. “Then the discussion is of course, album versus EP,” he said. “Kind of more leaning towards releasing a series of EPs. If you think about it, how we’re likely able to be able to complete stuff, it seems like a song from each of us – so four total songs. Given a couple months time, being on the road and working that into the touring schedule that seems to be about how much we would be able to produce. So, why not just go with it?”

Following the show in Boston, the Yonder Mountain String Band will conclude their fall tour in Maine with a show at Portland’s State Theatre on November 2.
