Progressive Bluegrass groups, Yonder Mountain String Band (YMSB) have announced plans for a performance at Boston’s House of Blues on Friday, October 29. Tickets, which range from $22.50 to $29.50, are available through LiveNation.

It’s been over a year since band’s latest release, 2009’s, The Show, but Yonder Mountain String Band has kept busy with its share of music festivals. The group is famous for its annual Northwest String Summit in Oregon, and now Arkansas’s Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival has been renamed Yonder Mountain String Band’s Harvest Music Festival, with its namesake headlining the list of performing artists. The group will also recently participated in the Fourmile Canyon Revival, along with other names such as String Cheese Incident and Big Head Todd; the concert benefited families affected by the Fourmile Canyon Fire (Boulder,Colorado), which burned over 6,000 acres and destroyed 169 homes.
