Yellowcard have announced plans for a special tour and new release celebrating the tenth anniversary of their breakthrough album, Ocean Avenue. The pop-punk favorites will hit Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Friday, September 6. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $26 and $36.

“On July 22nd, 2003 our lives were changed forever,” explained the band in a statement. “We didn’t know that day what Ocean Avenue would become, but it is a chapter in our story that we will never forget. We knew that for the 10th anniversary of the release we wanted to do something more than just a tour.”

With that in mind, the band have focused the last few months re-imagining all 13 songs in an acoustic setting. The final result, aptly dubbed Ocean Avenue Acoustic, will be released in August 13. According to the band, “some of the songs have a whole new life, while others are acoustic renditions of the originals.” For more on the album, check out the video below.

Released in July of 2003, Ocean Avenue was Yellowcard’s fourth studio effort and major-label debut. The album, which was recently certified platinum (over one million sold), features singles “Way Away”, “Ocean Avenue” and “Only One”.

On the upcoming tour, Yellowcard will perform Ocean Avenue Acoustic in its entirety from start to finish, and then close the show with an electric set featuring hits and fan favorites from the rest of their catalogue.
