Mike Doughty will headline WXRV 92.5 The River 10th Annual Riverfront Music Festival, which will take place this Saturday at the Waterfront Park in Newburyport. The free day-long show will begin at 1 p.m. and also feature sets from Marc Broussard, The Damnwells and Scars on 45.

Doughtry is on the road and prepping for the release of his forthcoming album, Yes and Also Yes, which is scheduled to be released on August 30 through his own label Snack Bar Records. Broussard released a self-titled album, his fourth studio effort, last month. Brooklyn’s The Damnwells are also supporting a new album in No One Listens to the Band Anymore, while English rockers Scars on 45’s new single “Give Me Something” recently charted in the Top 5 of Billboard’s Triple A radio chart.

The Riverfront Festival has drawn an average of 10,000+ people annually for the past 9 years. Past performers include The Lemonheads, Blind Melon, Fastball, Matt Nathanson, Eric Hutchinson, needtobreathe and Stephen Kellog & The Sixers.

Waterfront Park is located directly behind the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Market Square.
