He just turned 77-years old but don’t think that Willie Nelson plans on slowing down anytime soon. The country music legend will return to the road this summer and offer his fans in Massachusetts plenty of opportunities to see him perform live.

Fans in the Boston area, can catch Nelson play the House of Blues on Friday, August 13. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $65 and $85. Prior to the show in the hub, he and the family will then make their way to Hyannis for a show at the Cape Cod Melody Tent on Thursday, August 12. Tickets for that show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $52.75 and $69.75. And finally, fans in Western Massachusetts can see Nelson play Mountain Park in Holyoke on Sunday, August 8. Tickets for that show are also now through NBOtickets.com and range in price from $35 to $75.

Nelson is touring in support of his brand new album, aptly titled Country Music. Produced by T-Bone Burnett, the album debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200 after it hit stores last month. Nelson wrote one track on the album, “Man With The Blues” and, with T Bone Burnett, co-arranged three traditional songs, “Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down,” “I Am A Pilgrim,” and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine.” The album also features many popular old-time/bluegrass/folk songs including Ernest Tubb’s “Seaman’s Blues, Merle Travis’ “Dark As A Dungeon,” and Doc Watson’s “Freight Train Boogie”.
