After ending a brief sabbatical earlier this year, Widespread Panic have revealed plans to continuing tour this fall. The veteran jam band favorites will return to Massachusetts for a performance at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on Friday, November 15. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $45.

With no new album to promote, fans can expect a set featuring selections culled from their catalogue of 11-albums over their 25+ years together. Their last offering of all new material was 2010’s Dirty Side Down. However, a new album is reportedly in the works for Widespread Panic.

In an interview earlier this summer with PopMatters, percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz how last year’s break helped the band. “We love every second that we’re out on the road,” he said. “But then again we really enjoy have our free space and our free time. I think it rejuvenates us to take a year off. We’ve got some new music coming out and everyone’s excited. Everyone’s on board. Because for awhile, it could get too predictable, as to where we were going out, playing a lot of the same things. But it’s great being back on the road and seeing your smiling faces.”
