Weekend Guide: November 26 – 28

, Staff

Still looking to fill in your calendar for this weekend? Well, you’ve worked too hard not to enjoy you free time so here are some ideas on how to spend your weekend.

Our Best Picks

Brandon Flowers at the House of Blues on Friday:  Although Flowers may be better known for his work with The Killers, don’t sell this show short ‘cause he doesn’t have the band with him. Flowers is doing quite well for himself behind his solo debut, Flamingo. A few tickets remain for $38 and $48.

Our Music Picks

Peter Wolf at the Narrows Center for the Arts: We may be approaching winter but Peter Wolf is finding some great success singing about warmer times with his new single “The Green Fields of Summer”. He was also successful in selling out this show.

Girls, Guns and Glory at the TT the Bear’s Place: It’s been awhile since GGG has made an appearance back here at home. Welcome the country-rockers back for the price of $10. Highway Ghosts and Daisy’s Little Secret open the show.

Jake Armerding at the Club Passim: It may be a slow Sunday night in Boston, but at least you can still relax after a hectic weekend with the sweet sounds of Jake Armerding. He tells us ,“The show will feature several new songs I’ve written since my latest release; there will also be an unprecedented amount of requests taken from the house, an old, distorted electric guitar, and four violins played by one performer.” Sounds good to us. Tickets are $17.
