Country music veteran Vince Gill is hitting the road for several dates this summer and into the fall. The singer will make his way to Boston for a show at the Wilbur Thetare on Sunday, September 11. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $55 to $77, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

The 18-time Grammy Award winner has kept a relatively low profile since 2006, when he released These Days, a four-CD set. His new project, Guitar Slinger, is due out in the fall. Recorded at Gill’s home studio, the album features extensive guitar playing, as well as well as the artist’s signature songwriting.

“I truly feel as though the songs are getting better and at this point in my career, I have learned what to say in songs,” explained Gill in a recent interview with the New Brunswick newspaper, Times & Transcript. “Perhaps more importantly though, I have learned what not to say. It is almost like that is the real key to making music.”

As for the upcoming tour, Gill promises a unique show experience with an “off-the-cuff” style that makes for a different set each night.
