Due to safety concerns based on the possible effects of Hurricane Irene, the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival has rescheduled Sunday’s show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield to Tuesday, August 30. All tickets for the previously scheduled performance date will be honored at the rescheduled date and refunds are available at point of purchase for those unable to attend the show on Tuesday.

“We apologize for any inconvenience to the fans, but safety is our first concern,” said festival co-producer John Oakes in a press release. “We want everyone to be able to enjoy a full afternoon and evening of rock at Uproar. After the Category 3 storm blows through New England on Sunday, Uproar promises to bring a Category 5 rock storm on Tuesday.”

“Safety first, We don’t want any of our fans to get hurt,” said M. Shadows of headliners Avenged Sevenfold in a video message to fans, which is streaming below.

Also performing at Uproar will be Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine, Escape The Fate, Sevendust, Black Tide, Art of Dying and The Black Cloud Collective.
