Umphrey’s McGee make Halloween plans for Boston

, Staff

Umphrey’s McGee have revealed plans for their annual “Monster Mash Halloween Bash” concert. The Chicago-bred progressive rock favorites will host the seventh edition of the special concerts in Boston with back-to-back shows scheduled for the House of Blues on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1. Tickets for each of the shows will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $30 and $39.50.

The upcoming shows will continue Umphrey’s McGees’ promotion of their brand new album, Similar Skin. The band’s eighth studio release and follow-up to 2011’s Death By Stereo was released last month via the band’s newly formed independent label, Nothing Too Fancy Music. The album is comprised of eleven tracks, some of which were longtime live favorites but recorded in the studio for the first time. For more on Similar Skin, check out the video streaming below.

For the Boston shows, the band will also offer special limited edition VIP ticket options, which will include a private tour of Fenway Park with the band.

Local standouts Dopapod will open the show on October 31.
