TV on the Radio plot return to Boston

After rocking the House of Blues earlier this year, TV on the Radio have revealed plans to return to the Bay State later this year. The Brooklyn-based will play the Bank of American Pavilion in Boston on Tuesday, September 6. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $20 and $30. Broken Social Scene will open the show.

TV on the Radio continue to tour in support of their new album, Nine Types of Light. Released in April, it’s the band’s fifth studio effort and first since 2008’s Dear Science. “I think the songs on this album, to me, maybe sound simpler,” said frontman Tunde Adebimpe in a press release. “But it just might be that we have gotten better at what we do.”

Sadly, the group will be without bassist/keyboardist Gerard Smith, who passed away after a battle with lung cancer in April – barely a week after the release of Nine Types of Light.
