Tricky has revealed plans for a stateside tour in support of his forthcoming release, False Idols. The British DJ/producer and trip hop pioneer will hit a handful of cities in the United States this June, including Boston. He’ll perform at Royale on Friday, June 14. Tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster for $25.

False Idols, Tricky’s tenth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Mixed Race, is scheduled to hit stores on May 28. The album will feature guest vocals by Francesca Belmonte, Fifi Rong, Nneka and Peter Silberman of The Antlers. Fans can get a taste of the new material with the False Idols album sampler below.

“This new album I’ll stand behind every track,” said Tricky in a press release. “I don’t care whether people like it. I’m doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. That’s what made me who I was in the beginning. If people don’t like it, it don’t matter to me because I’m back where I was.”
