Trampled By Turtles will soon embark on a fall tour to close out the year. The Minnesota-based bluegrass band will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Wednesday, November 16. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers Jonny Corndawg, are now on sale through Ticketmaster for$15.

The upcoming tour continues the band’s promotion of their latest album, Palomino. Released in April of 2010, Trampled By Turtles’ fifth studio effort peaked at #1 on the US bluegrass charts, and maintained a top 10 position on the charts for over a year. Most recently, the band released a cover of Pixies’ “Where is My Mind”. The digital single is available as a free download below. Fans can also purchase the song through any digital retailer for $.99, with all proceeds going to benefit WhyHunger, the organization founded by the late singer-songwriter Harry Chapin. WhyHunger supports grassroots solutions to inspire self-reliance and community empowerment to connect people to nutritious, affordable food.

Prior to the Boston gig, Trampled By Turtles will play several other shows in New England including Burlington, Vermont (at Higher Ground on November 12), Portland, Maine (at the Port City Music Hall on November 13) and Northampton, Massachusetts (at Pearl Street on November 15). The band was last in the area this past summer, when they delivered a memorable set at the Newport Folk Festival.
