Currently touring through Europe, Todd Rundgren has scheduled a busy summer with dates spread out across the globe from the United States to Australia in support of his brand new album State.

Following a tour down under, the veteran rocker will return for another set of stateside shows that will begin in Boston with a show at the Wilbur Theatre on Friday, August 2. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $35 and $45.

State, Rundgren’s 24th studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s (re)Production, was released last month. The album was written, performed and produced by Rundgren alone with the exception of vocals by Rachel Haden on “Something From Nothing”. Along with the standard edition, Rundgren released a limited deluxe edition that includes a bonus second disc of a live performance with The Metropole Orchestra at the Paradiso in Amsterdam last November 2012.

Following the show in Massachusetts, Rundgren will travel south to Connecticut for a performance at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, August 3.
