Looking ahead to 2012, Toby Keith has announced plans for a performance in Connecticut. The country superstar will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday, February 3. Tickets for the show, which will also feature special guest Rodney Atkins, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Keith is touring in support of his brand new album, Clancy’s Tavern. Released in October, the country star’s fifteenth studio effort debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Clancy’s Tavern draws its name from the title track, which Keith wrote about his grandmother’s bar in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The new album continues Keith’s prolific run of new releases in the past decade as Clancy’s Tavern marks his seventh album in the past seven years and tenth in the past eleven years.

Clancy’s Tavern features singles “Made in America” and “Red Solo Cup”. The video for the latter, which was written by the Warren Brothers and the Beaver Brothers (the only song on the album without a writing credit for Keith), is streaming below. In a press release, Keith describes the song as soothing “You’re going to find it really stupid but you’ll be singing it the next day when you wake up.”

Atkins is touring in support of his brand new album, Take A Back Road. Released in October, Atkins’s fourth studio effort debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. It has been powered by hit singles “Take a Back Road” and “He’s Mine”.
