Thurston Moore and Kurt Vile will team up for a couple of co-headlining concerts on the East coast to begin 2012. The two indie rockers, who first toured together this past summer, will hit Massachusetts for a show together at the Somerville Theatre on Tuesday, January 31. Tickets for the show are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website for $22.50.

Best known as the singer and guitarist of Sonic Youth, Moore is on the road to promote his latest solo release, Demolished Thoughts. Produced by Beck, Moore’s third solo studio effort was recorded in Northampton, Massachusetts and Los Angeles, California during 2010.

Vile is touring in support of his latest album, Smoke Ring For My Halo. Released in March, Vile’s fourth studio effort was produced by John Agnello (The Hold Steady, Dinosaur Jr.). Fans can get a taste of the album by downloading the song “baby’s Arms” for free on his website.

Moore and Vile are both signed to Matador Records.
