Third Day have announced plans for their “Make Your Move” tour in support of their most recent release, Move. The christian rock veterans will hit Massachusetts for a show at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Friday, November 4. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $25.50 to $73, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

Move, the Georgia-based band’s tenth studio effort, was released in October 2010. It debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200, topped Billboard’s Christian Albums chart and reached #3 on Billboard’s Rock Albums charts. Move has been powered by lead single “Lift Up Your Face”, which features The Blind Boys of Alabama. “Follow Me There” was used as the theme song for the reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”. The album also features Needtobreathe frontman Bear Rinehart on “Gone”.

Third Day is also strongly devoted to helping global charities through its own foundation, the Come Together Fund. $1 dollar from each concert ticket sold goes to raise money for worthwhile projects including Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, Invisible Children and Blood Water Mission.

“You want to find other avenues to use your influence,” drummer David Carr recently told Texas newspaper Times Record News. “An integral part of our faith is to serve the poor. With millions of children dying every year and starving being rampant in the world, it’s very easy to live in our bubble in the United States.”

Third Day has also been nominated for an American Music Award in the category of Favorite Contemporary Musical Artist.
