The xx and Grizzly Bear will join forces for a handful of shows this summer. The pair of indie rock favorites will hit Massachusetts together for a show at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Saturday, June 8. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $24.50 to $40, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The summer trek will continue The xx’s promotion of their latest album, Coexist. Released in September, the English band’s sophomore release debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200. Produced by group member Jamie xx, it features singles “Angels” and “Chained”.

Grizzly Bear will be touring in support of 2012’s Shields. The Brooklyn-based band’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Veckatimest, was released in September. Produced by bassist and multi-instrumentalist Chris Taylor, the majority of the album was recorded at a home studio in Cape Cod, the same spot where they recorded 2006’s Yellow House. Shields features singles “Sleeping Ute” and “Yet Again”.

The Boston show will serve as one of seven that The xx and Grizzly Bear will perform together this summer. In addition to the tour, both bands will perform at the Governors Ball Festival in New York City on June 9.
