The Temper Trap will make their way to North America this summer for a headlining tour. The Australian rockers will hit Boston and play the House of Blues on Thursday, June 7. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $35.

The band will be touring in support of their forthcoming self-titled album. The Temper Trap, the band’s sophomore studio album, is scheduled to hit stores on June 5. It will mark the band’s first release as a five-piece since keyboardist/ guitarist Joseph Greer was added as a permanent member of the band. Produced by Tony Hoffer (The Kooks, Beck), The Temper Trap features lead single “Need Your Love”. The video for the song is streaming below.

“There’s a lot more synth on this album,” daid drummer Toby Dundas in a recent interview with Flex Newspaper. “We kept trying out new sounds when we were recording in LA with Tony Hoffer (producer/mixer for the likes of Beck, The Kooks, Belle & Sebastian) so the vibes changed a bit, hopefully for the better.”

The Temper Trap’s 2009 debut album Conditions was powered by hit singles “Sweet Disposition” and “Fader”.
