The String Cheese Incident announce return to Boston

The String Cheese Incident have announced plans for their first multi-city tour in four years. The jam band veterans will bring their “Roots Run Deep” tour to Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, December 4. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $39.50.

The Denver-based band has only made limited appearances since 2007, so “Roots Run Deep” affirms the band is back together and ready to rock. After a three-year hiatus, The String Cheese Incident reunited to headline the Rothbury Music Festival in Michigan in 2009. They have since played a handful of shows in 2010 and 2011.

“All of us feel that our recent Incidents have been some of our best yet,” said SCI’s Keith Moseley in a press release. “We are excited to get on the bus and play again in such historic venues.” Michael Kang added, “It’ll be great to immerse ourselves on the road for a bit. There is nothing like the groove we get into when we play nine shows in ten days. It will allow us to take even more chances.”

Live recordings of each show along the Roots Run Deep 2011 will be made available for download through the band’s website.
