The Smashing Pumpkins have revealed plans to return to the road this fall for a nationwide tour. Original frontman Billy Corgan will lead the band back to New England for a pair of shows, including a stop at Boston’s Agganis Arena on Saturday, October 27. Tickets for the show will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $39.50 and $49.50.

On the tour, the band will perform their brand new album Oceania in its entirety. The new material, according to a press release, will be followed by a set of greatest hits, fan favorites and deep cuts from their catalogue. The band will be backed by visuals prepared by Sean Evans, whose most recent project was assisting Roger Waters on the newest staging of “The Wall”.

The Smashing Pumpkins will also perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Sunday, November 4. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday, November 7 through Ticketmaster for $25.

Oceania, The Smashing Pumpkins’s eighth studio effort and follow-up to 2007’s Zeitgeist, debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 after its release in June. It also topped Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. Produced by Corgan and Bjorn Thorsrud, Oceania is part of the band’s ongoing 44-song concept album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. It was recorded at Corgan’s private studio in Chicago. For more on the album and the tour, check out the video below.
