The Shins to play the Paradise Rock Club

The Shins have added a handful of intimate club appearances to an series of summer shows, including a stop in Massachusetts. The indie rock favorites will play Boston’s famed Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, September 24. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $30.

For upcoming tour James Mercer will lead a Shins lineup consisting of Yuuki Matthews (bass), Jessica Dobson (guitar), Richard Swift (keyboards) and Joe Plummer (drums). The setlist will likely feature material from the long awaited fourth Shins album, which Mercer will complete following the tour. Due out next year on Aural Apothecary/Columbia, the new album will be the band’s first since 2007’s Grammy-nominated Wincing The Night Away.

Most recently, Mercer teamed up with Danger Mouse to form Broken Bells. the duo released their self-titled debut album last year and a followup EP Meyrin Fields in March.
