Just as the did last year, The Roots have revealed plans to hit Boston in December for a post-Christmas concert. While on break from filming the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, The Roots will perform at the House of Blues on December 26. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $37 and $49.50.

The Roots continue to tour in support of their latest release, 2011’s Undun. The concept album details the life of the fictional character Redford Stephens and features the single “Make My” with special guest Big K.R.I.T.

The Philadelphia-based group is already working on their next release. In July, Questlove announced on Twitter that the group’s 12th studio album would be called &TYSYC. No other details have been released.

Of course, The Roots remain active as the house band for NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”. Check out the band backing Princess, a Prince tribute by Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, for the Purple Rain track “Darling Nikki” here.
