In what is sure to be hit with 80’s fans, The Psychedelic Furs and Tom Tom Club will team up for a co-headlining tour this fall. The two bands will play Boston’s House of Blues on Tuesday, October 4. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $25 and $35.

Fans can expect a set filled with greatest hits and fan favorites from The Psychedelic Furs, who have not released an album of new material since 1991’s World Outside. After spending most of the decade apart, fouding members Richard Butler, Tim Butler and John Ashton reunited in 2000 and released a live album Beautiful Chaos: Greatest Hits Live in 2001, which also featured a new studio recording, “Alive (For Once In My Lifetime)”. The current Psychedelic Furs touring line-up features both Butlers along with Rich Good, Mars Williams, Amanda Kramer and Paul Garisto.

Fans can expect the same from the Tom Tom Club, whose last release was 2000’s The Good, The Bad, and the Funky. Led by husband-and-wife team Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, who are also known as members of the Talking Heads, the new wave favorites are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

“We’re not really thinking in terms of albums anymore,” said Frantz ina¬† recent interview with Billboard.com. “We’re thinking in terms of singles and EPs, and if we have enough EPs that sound good, then we’ll put them together for an album. It seems like most people are just interested in hearing a good song these days.”
