The Jesus and Mary Chain have revealed plans to return to the United States this fall for a tour that include that band’s first stop in Boston in over a decade. The Glasgow-based indie rock veterans will cross the pond and play two nights at the Paradise Rock Club on Tuesday, September 11 and Wednesday, September 12. Tickets for each of the shows are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $29.50.

After playing their last gig in 1998 and breaking up in 1999, The Jesus and Mary Chain reunited in 2007 for a handful of high-profile club and festival dates in the United States and Europe. Led by brothers Jim (lead vocals) and William Reid (lead guitar), the band’s current lineup also features with guitarist John Moore, Phil King on bass and drummer Loz Colbert.

With no new album to promote, fans can expect a set filled with old favorites. The band’s last studio release was 1998’s Munki. However, The Jesus and Mary Chain have re-released each of their six studio albums as deluxe package with the original remastered album, a second disc of b-sides,outtakes and other rarities, as well as DVD of promo videos and television appearances from the album.
