Before celebrating New Year’s Eve in New York, The Hold Steady and Lucero will team up for a co-headlining show in Massachusetts. The two bands will rock the Wonderland Ballroom in Revere on Sunday, December 30. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.

The Hold Steady were last in Boston earlier this summer for a headlining performance at Royale. The band are reportedly working on their fifth album and follow-up to 2010’s Stay Positive, though no details regarding the album have been released.

Earlier this year, frontman Craig Finn released his debut solo album, Clear Heart Full Eyes. The album was the product of a challenge Finn gave himself last year to write a new song every day in his Brooklyn apartment. Featuring lead single “Honolulu Blues”, Clear Heart Full Eyes was recorded in Austin with producer Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Trail of Dead).

Lucero continue to tour in support of their brand new album, Women & Work. Released in March, the album marked the band’s highest single week sales and chart debut in the band’s history, reaching #38 on the Top Current Chart, #44 on the Top 200 Chart and breaking the Top 20 in 3 other charts, including the Indie Label Chart, Vinyl Albums Chart, and Top Internet Chart. Women & Work was recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis and produced by Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones).
