The Fray announce summer tour

The Fray have announced plans for a summer tout in support of their brand new album, Helios. The Colorado-based pop-rockers will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on Wednesday, July 30. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25.00 to $49.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Barcelona and Oh Honey will also perform.

Helios, The Fray’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2012’s Scars & Stories, debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 after its release in February. Frontman Issac Slade co-produced the album with Stuart Price (The Killers, Keane) with help from OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder on lead single “Love Don’t Die” (streaming below).

Of the new music, frontman Isaac Slade noted in a press release, “Working with Stuart was the best of both worlds. We brought our organic instruments, and he brought his arsenal of electronic antiques. This record is all about running to the front lines of what we’ve done and pushing our borders even farther. Electronic instruments, drum samples, enormous backing vocals, opening up our writing to folks outside our camp.”
