The Darkness will bring their reunion tour to the United States in 2012. The Brit-rockers will cross the pond for a tour that hits Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Friday, February 3. Tickets for the show will go on saleĀ  Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $25.

The band from Lowestoft in Suffolk, England reunited with all four original members earlier this year to headline the Download festival in England. Most recently, the band just wrapped up a tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland. Comprised of Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, guitar),Dan Hawkins (guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass, backing vocals) and Ed Graham (drums), The Darkness formed in 2000. The band released two studio albums, 2003’s Permission to Land and 2005’s One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back. They won three Brit awards in 2004, and had five top 10 hits in the UK including their stateside breakthrough, “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”. The Darkness broke up in 2006 when singer Justin Hawkins quit. A new album is expected to be released in 2012.

“The main thing for us is to make sure that musically we turn the experience into something positive again,” said frontman Justin Hawkins in an interview with the BBC earlier this year. “We’ve been remembering why it was so much fun in the first place, just four men making loud music in a room.”
