The Charlatans make plans for stateside tour

British rockers The Charlatans, better known in the United States as The Charlatans UK, have revealed plans for a tour of North America This fall. The alternative rock band has scheduled a Friday, September 10 show at Royale in Boston. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $23 through Ticketmaster.

The Charlatans will be touring in support of their forthcoming album, Who We Touch. The band’s ninth studio effort is set to hit stores on September 14 and was produced by Youth (Paul McCartney, Primal Scream). “We told Youth we wanted the record to have the sound of a European winter,” said frontman Tim Burgess in a press release. “With that fresh, crisp sound you get from some British records, but also something fearless that was quite far-reaching, to challenge ourselves – a real journey.” The lead single off Who We Touch, “Love Is Ending”, is now streaming on the band’s MySpace.

The band’s last studio album was 2008’s You Cross My Path.
