The Breeders to celebrate Last Splash on tour

The Breeders have announced plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal album Last Splash with a special reissue and tour this spring. The indie rock veterans will embark on a world tour that stops in Massachusetts for a night at Boston’s Royale on Thursday, May 9. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $25.

Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson, The Breeders line up that made Last Splash, will reunite for the world tour. It will mark their first time playing together since 1994. Joined by violinist Carrie Bradley, the quartet will perform Last Splash in its entirety from start to finish..

LSXX, a deluxe edition of Last Splash, will be released via 4AD on April 23. Last Splash was propelled by smash single “Cannonball”, which was voted “Single of the Year” by the NME.
