The Bouncing Souls will hit Massachusetts later this summer as part of a global tour in support of their brand new album, Comet. The New Jersey punk rockers, along with guests The Menzingers and Luther, will play Boston’s House of Blues on Saturday, August 4. Tickets for the show are currently on sale through Live Nation for $20.

Comet, the band’s ninth studio album and first of all new material since 2006’s The Gold Record, was released earlier this month. In 2010, The Bouncing Souls released Ghosts on the Boardwalk, a collection of twelve songs which were originally released as digital singles and 7″ EPs as part of the band’s 20th Anniversary Series. The Bouncing Souls recorded Comet in Colorado with producer Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, Hot Water Music) over the course of just twelve days.

“This album began as a conversation about how we felt an element of true and urgent inspiration had gone missing lately, and that if we were to write another album, it needed to be truly inspired, written out of a pure need to express something,” explained bassist Bryan Kienlen in a press release.
