Due to overwhelming demand, The Black Crowes and Tedeschi Trucks Band have added a second show in Boston to their summer tour. After rocking the Bank of America Pavilion on July 30, the two bands will return to the hub for a second performance at the harborside venue on Tuesday, August 6. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $34.50 to $74.50, will ho on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Opening the show will be The London Souls.

The Black Crowes decided to end their brief hiatus and return to touring earlier this year. On their current tour, the band have been reaching deep inside their extensive catalog and performing greatly varied sets. Earlier this year, The Black Crowes released Wiser For The Time. Available on a 4-disc vinyl set and as a double album digital download, it contain 26 songs (15 acoustic and 11 electric) from the band’s five-night, sold-out New York City performances in the fall of 2010. Their last studio album was 2010’s Croweology.

Tedeschi Trucks Band, the 11-piece ensemble led by husband-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, are touring in support of 2012’s Everybody’s Talkin’. Released last May, the two-disc live set was recorded during a series of shows in October of 2011 and is comprised of both originals and covers. Revelator, the band’s 2011 debut studio album, won a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album last year. Guitar virtuoso Trucks is best known as a member of the Allman Brothers Band, while Tedeschi, a native of Norwell, Massachusetts, has received multiple Grammy-Award nominations for her solo blues efforts.
