The Big E reveals music lineup
“New England’s Great State fair” The Big E has revealed the line-up of musical performers set to perform at the West Springfield venue in September. Hunter Hayes leads a cast of country favorites including Randy Houser and Kix Brooks, while the diverse line-up will also offer pop star Austin Mahone and plenty of classic rock favorites including Don Felder and The Beach Boys.
Hayes will perform at The Big E on Friday, September 20. The Lousiana native, who turns 22 next month, continues to tour in support of his self-titled 2011 album. The Grammy Award-nominated album has been powered by hit singles “Storm Warning”, “Wanted” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak”. The video for his latest single “I Want Crazy” is streaming below. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $29 and $39.
The Big E’s entertainment plans is dominated by several free performances at the Comcast Arena Stage, which has a capacity of approximately 6,000. Don Felder, the former lead guitarist of The Eagles for 27 years, will bring his “An Evening at the Hotel California” to West Springfield on Saturday, September 14. The following night will feature a set from garage rock heroes Tommy James and the Shondells. Known for leading Elvis Presley’s orchestra from 1970 to 1977, Maestro Joe Guercio will lead the “Symphonic Sounds of Elvis” with with Elvis’ Imperials and vocalist Andy Childs on Saturday, September 21.
Continuing to tour in support of his third album How Country Feels, Randy Houser will hit The Big E on Sunday, September 22, while country veteran Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn fame will perform on Friday, September 27. Rising pop star Austin Mahone will stop at the fair on Saturday, September 28 before The Beach Boys led by Mike Love bring the festivities to a close on Sunday, September 29.
The Big E is offering a limited amount of premium reserved seating to each show for $25 via Ticketmaster. Seats in the rest of the venue will be available for free on a first-come, first served basis.
All shows are scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. Big E admission, which is priced available for $12 in advance or $15 at the gate for adults, is included when concert tickets are purchased before show date.
