After rocking their ninth annual Wanee Festival this past weekend in Florida, The Allman Brothers Band have announced plans for a short summer tour. The classic rock favorites will make a few stops in New England, with shows scheduled for Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut.

Joined by special guests Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Allman Brothers Band will perform at the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Friday, September 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $30 to $82.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Prior to the Massachusetts show, the band will be joined by special guest Steve Winwood for shows at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, August 24 and the Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire on Tuesday, August 27.

The Allman Brothers Band will touring selectively this summer as the band members tour with their various side projects. “This will be a good little run,” said co-founder Greg Allman in a press release. “We’ve always loved Steve and we’ve been listening to a lot of Grace’s stuff, so I imagine we’re going to have a bunch of fun together.”

Last year, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and celebrated the 40th anniversary of their iconic 1972 album Eat A Peach. Their last offering of all new material was 2003’s Hittin’ the Note.

The Allman Brothers Band is currently comprised of Allman (vocals and keyboards), Butch Trucks (drums and tympani), Jaimoe (drums), Warren Haynes (vocals, lead and slide guitar), Derek Trucks (slide and lead guitar), Oteil Burbridge (bass) and Marc Quinones (congas and percussion).
