Ted Nugent has announced plans for a tour that will bring him to New England this summer. The Motor City Madman’ “Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead Tour” is set to come to Boston’s House of Blues on Wednesday, June 16. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $27 and $45, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Fans can also purchase a 4-pack of tickets for $80.

Following his stop in Boston, Nugent will head to Providence for a show at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel on Thursday, June 17 and then north to New Hampshire for a show at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Friday, June 18.

Nugent, known as much for his incredible guitar skill as he is for his outspoken opinions and onstage antics, is considered one of the world’s leading guitar showman. With classics like “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Stranglehold”, Nugent is considered a rock legend and very influential guitar player.

Nugent’s last album, Love Grenade, was released back in 2007 but he has kept busy with other ventures, outside the world of music. He has a popular weekly column in the Waco Tribune and has just recently released a new book entitled “Ted, White and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto”, which reached #8 on the New York Times Best Seller list.
