Miike Snow has announced plans for a Boston show as part of their eleven date fall US tour. The Swedish electro-pop sensation will play the House of Blues on Sunday, October 10. Tickets for the show, which are $32.70, are available through LiveNation.

The band, whose sound has been described as ‘Animal Collective meets a-ha’, is comprised of childhood friends Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg paired with American singer-songwriter Andrew Wyatt, formed in 2007 and released their self-titled debut album two years later. The record, which catapulted Miike Snow to an unanticipated level of popularity, was re-released in 2010 with new single “The Rabbit”. “We just wanted to make music together. Three people just messing around,” Wyatt told ClashMusic.com. “I don’t think we anticipated the level of attention that it’s getting right now. We didn’t even think about touring when we started the album.”

Besides being featured on several popular television shows including “Justified” and “Chuck”, the band has remixed several popular tracks from the Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend and Passion Pit, and their production of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” won them a Grammy in 2005 for Best Dance Recording.
