Husband and wife Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeeschi will hit the road this summer with their new band. The group will rock Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Wednesday, August 17. Joining them will be special guest Steve Earle with Allison Moorer. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $38.50, are now on sale through Live Nation.

The Tedeschi Trucks Ban will be touring in support of their forthcoming debut album, Revelator, which will be released on June 7. Fans can get a taste of the new album by downloading “Bound For Glory” on the group’s website after signing up for their newsletter.

Guitar virtuoso Trucks is best known as a member of the Allman Brothers Band, while Tedeschi, a native of Norwell, Massachusetts, has received multiple Grammy-Award nominations for her solo blues efforts. The two married in 2001. Trucks and Tedeschi formed the band last year under the “Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi” moniker, making appearance at several major festivals including New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest, Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Fest, Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, and Japan’s Fuji Rock Fest.

The duo reintroduced the band with the revised name last month. “Yes, it’s two less words, one less ampersand, 13 fewer letters, and a full 50% reduction in syllables!,” the stated. “Plus it makes for a much cleaner acronym, TTB, thus continuing the grand tradition of previous band acronyms like DTB and STB. We look forward to making many memories as Tedeschi Trucks Band over the years to come.”

Currently in Australia, the band will return stateside next month for the first leg of a North American tour that will hit the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Thursday, June 16. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $36 to $70, are now on sale through Ticketmaster. After dates in Europe and before their Boston show, TTB will perform at the Gathering of the Vibes Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Friday, July 22.

After many years of touring solo and acoustically worldwide, Earle will be touring with his electric live band, The Dukes (and Duchesses) featuring Allison Moorer. The tour will be in support of his forthcoming album, I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, which will be released on April 26. The album compliments Earle’s long anticipated debut novel of the same name, which will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on May 12.  The novel imagines the troubled life of Doc Ebersole as he is haunted by the ghost of his former patient and friend, Hank Williams.

In support of his new album and book, Earle is offering a free download bundle that includes an MP3 of the new song “Waitin’ On The Sky” and a PDF of the first chapter from the novel. The download is available to everyone who is currently a fan of or becomes a fan of his Facebook page.
